A $5 Dormant account fee will be charged at the end of each month for dormant accounts. A Dormant account is considered dormant when there has been no deposit or withdrawal on the account for a period of twelve (12) months; a dormant account shall also be defined as an account on which there has been no activity, other than the posting of dividends, for a period of one year or more.

Examples of member-initiated transactions include cash withdrawal/deposit, check payment/deposit, ATM withdrawal, online purchases and transfer of funds from/to your account. Dividends posted to the account are not considered member-initiated activity and will not protect accounts from becoming dormant.

This policy does NOT apply to members under the age of 18, those accounts are considered minor accounts. Members under the age of 18 will NOT be charged a dormant fee.

This policy and dormant accounts will be reviewed annually, and members will be informed of the dormant policy by mail to the address on record annually.

The funds in an account that is dormant after a 3-year period with Central Soya FCU will be escheated to the State of Indiana.
